Caving
Are you adventurous and not too afraid of the dark? Then book an afternoon of caving with us! It doesn't matter if you already have some experience or if you will explore a cave for the first time. Our experienced instructors are there to help you and your friends, colleagues or family members have a great experience.
Activity or course
We offer caving as a sporting activity, but also as a course. The choice is yours! In both cases you will receive professional guidance to ensure you participate safely. And if you like, you can also choose to try this activity first. If you like it, you can refine your cave exploration skills during the course.
Safety is our top priority. We work with experienced colleagues who guide you professionally through the cave. You get clear instructions beforehand and are equipped with an overall and a helmet with lamp. The activity caving is suitable for young and old, sporty and less sporty. Experience how cool it is to search for your route 'underground'.
As a speleologist you have to work well together and literally give each other a hand. In some places the cave is quite narrow or low and you will have to crawl or climb. Moreover, there is no daylight to help you navigate. You'll have to make do with the light on your helmet, your fellow cavers and R2G's reassuring guide.
No experience needed
As challenging as this activity is, you don't need any experience at all. You will receive all explanations, materials and instructions from our colleague and then you and your group can get started. You learn to focus well and to trust yourself and the other. Taking such a cave route together is a really special and impressive experience. Try it out!
A caving session or course takes about 2 hours. This depends on the size of the group and the cave route you choose. Caving in general:
- Location: Belgian Ardennes (short hour from Maastricht)
- Duration from 2 hours
- Minimum group size is 10 persons
- Minimum age is 12 years old
- Group discount is possible
- We do not recommend bringing valuables (such as passports, traveler's cheques, jewellery, etc.).
